Conversion of Government Schools to English Medium

- The Karnataka government has decided to convert 208 additional government schools into English medium from the academic year 2025-26.\
Progress So Far
- In 2019, the state began the initiative with 1,000 schools.
- By 2024, this number increased to 1,792 government primary schools offering English medium education (along with Kannada medium).
- Now, 208 more schools will join this list in the upcoming academic year.

- Schools will offer bilingual education (Kannada and English).

Objectives of the Campaign
- To provide primary healthcare services at the doorsteps of rural citizens.
- To increase health awareness and offer quick access to medical attention.
Health Services Provided
- Screening and diagnosis of major health issues such as:
- Blood Pressure (BP)
- Diabetes
- Anemia
- Tuberculosis (TB)
- Cancers (Oral, Cervical, Breast)
- Malnutrition
Schedule & Coverage
- Services will be offered every Tuesday.
- Each team will visit 15 households per day, ensuring doorstep delivery of healthcare.
- The campaign will cover:
- Rural villages
- Urban slums and underserved urban areas
- This is a statewide initiative covering all districts of Karnataka.
