- Legality & Consent:
- Organ donation from a brain-dead person is legal.
- It requires consent from the family members.
- Tissue Donation:
- Tissues such as corneas, heart valves, skin, and bone marrow can be donated.
- These tissues can help up to 50 lives.
- Organs That Can Be Donated:
- Kidneys, liver, heart, lungs, pancreas, and small intestine.
- A single donor can save up to 8 lives.
- No Age or Gender Restriction:
- Anyone can donate organs and tissues, regardless of age or gender.
