Karnataka's Revenue Growth and Social Justice

Padma Awards Recognition in Karnataka

  • Veteran actor Anant Nag, along with journalist A. Surya Prakash, was named for Padma Bhushan on Republic Day.
  • Nag, known for his diverse roles, has acted in over 300 films, mostly in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Marathi, Malayalam, and English.
  • L. Subramaniam, a violinist, musician, and composer, was named for Padma Vibhushan.
  • Mr. Surya Prakash, named for Padma Bhushan, has held key positions in print and electronic media for over 50 years.
  • Ricky Kej, a Bengaluru-based music composer and three-time Grammy winner, was among the Padma Shri award.
  • Hassan Raghu, an expert in folk and traditional martial arts, was also named for Padma Shri.

Prashanth Prakash, named for Padma Shri under Trade and Industry category, emphasized the critical role of start-ups and technology sector in nation building.
